  • LOA Chart # 1 covers Rukl 27,38
  • LOA Chart # 2 covers Rukl 49,60
  • LOA Chart # 3 covers Rukl 7,15,16
  • LOA Chart # 4 covers Rukl 25,26,36,37
  • LOA Chart # 5 covers Rukl 47,48,58,59
  • LOA Chart # 6 covers Rukl68,69,76

As you can see, this places the waxing crescent moon on six charts that follow each other in sequence, rather than going #12, 11, 7, 8 as in Hatfield or hunting through to find 7,16,27,38,49,60,69,76, as you have to do with Rukl. We should have overlap equal to about one half of a Rukl chart. The next series is:

  • LOA Chart # 7 covers Rukl 5,6 (again, leaving room to show libration)
  • LOA Chart # 8 covers Rukl 13,14,23,24
  • LOA Chart # 9 covers Rukl 34,35,45,46
  • LOA Chart # 10 covers Rukl 56,57,66,67
  • LOA Chart # 11 covers Rukl 74,75 (room for libration)

That sequence shows the terminator moving down to nearly a half moon. The next sequence is:

  • LOA Chart # 12 covers Rukl 3,4 (again, room for libration)
  • LOA Chart # 13 covers Rukl 11,12,21,22
  • LOA Chart # 14 covers Rukl 32,33,43,44
  • LOA Chart # 15 covers Rukl 54,55,64,65
  • LOA Chart # 16 covers Rukl 72,73 (room for libration)

Followed by the next North to South sequence of:

  • LOA Chart # 17 covers Rukl 1,2 (room for libration)
  • LOA Chart # 18 covers Rukl 9,10,19,20
  • LOA Chart # 19 covers Rukl 30,31,41,42
  • LOA Chart # 20 covers Rukl 52,53,62,63
  • LOA Chart # 21 covers Rukl 70,71 (room for libration)

And wrapping up with:

  • LOA Chart # 22 covers Rukl 8,17,19 (room for libration)
  • LOA Chart # 23 covers Rukl 28,29,39,40 (this is the one that will be tight for showing libration, but we can add another page as needed)
  • LOA Chart # 24 covers Rukl 50,51,61 (room for libration)

If we allow about a fourth of a Rukl chart worth of overlap on each side, we should be fine. Where this will cut features in half, we can slide some of the photos as needed to show the features in full.

If you don't have a Rukl, there is a photo in the files section that shows the Rukl divisions.
